Blintzes For Breakfast – Give It A Try!

My kids love these for breakfast or for an after school snack. If I am serving them for breakfast, I will put them together the night before so that I don’t have to worry about getting up early to get them assembled. Then, in the morning, they are all ready to go. I just have to bake them for a few minutes while the kids are getting dressed. It’s a nice change from all of our more traditional breakfast food choices. Check out what they are saying about this recipe over at All Recipes:

“These were a real hit with the all the moms and kids at my sons Valentines Day party. Easy to make and great tasting.”

Breakfast, lunch, dessert, or party time… these always go over extremely well so make sure you prepare a lot!

Ingredients

1 (1 pound) loaf white bread

4 tablespoons Domino white sugar

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

2 (8 ounce) packages Philadelphia cream cheese, softened

2 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup butter, melted

1 pint Daisy sour cream

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a cookie sheet generously with non-stick cooking spray.

Trim crusts from bread and roll the slices flat.

In a small bowl combine sugar and cinnamon to make a mixture.

In a large mixing bowl, mix softened cream cheese, milk and vanilla until smooth. Spread this mixture onto each slice of flattened bread. Roll each bread slice up. Dip bread/cream cheese rolls in melted butter, roll the blintzes immediately in the sugar-cinnamon mixture. Cut rolls into 1 inch pieces. Arrange the blintzes on the prepared cookie sheet.

Bake for 10 minutes. Serve with sour cream.

Quick Tip: If you’re cutting these up, do it before dipping them in the butter.
