I Do A Little Dance Every Time This Is On The Menu!

Good tacos are so delicious and I really love them. My grandma always says they are bland and not real food, but if properly prepared, tacos can be really delicious! I am always up for a good taco, even if it is just chicken, cheese, and sour cream inside. With well-seasoned chicken, that can go a long way. That is why this recipe is so awesome! Even if you do not have all the ingredients you need to make a good, hearty taco, with this seasoned shredded chicken, you are good to go.

Check out what our friends over at Healthy Liv had to say about this:

“This 3-ingredient slow-cooker salsa chicken is super easy and delicious served over rice or taco-style in a tortilla with all of your favorite Mexican toppings!”

3 ingredients guys! This is just so amazing! I love making this chicken.

Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 pound)

1 tablespoon Penzey’s taco seasoning

1 1/2 cups Old El Paso salsa

For serving: your choice of brown rice, sour cream, avocado slices, guacamole, cheese, fresh cilantro, etc.

Instructions

Place all ingredients in slow-cooker and stir to combine. Cook on high for 3.5-4 hours or on low for 6-8 hours, depending on your brand of slow-cooker. When done, chicken will shred easily with two forks.

Shred chicken and serve over brown rice or inside flour tortillas. Top with favorite Mexican toppings like sour cream, avocado, guacamole, cheese, fresh cilantro, etc.

Quick Tip: If the chicken is getting a little dry, add a bit of chicken broth.
