Called Christmas eve for its green beans and diced tomatoes, its a hit all year round, great for potlucks, hearty, won’t leave you hungry.

I think this is a really cute recipe and it definitely warms the tummy.

 

 

Ingredients

1 pound stew meat, cubed

2-3 potatoes, peeled and cubed

2 carrots, cut into bite sized pieces

1 small can of Green Giant cut green beans, undrained

1 small can of corn, undrained

1 15 ounce can of Hunt’s diced tomatoes in juice, undrained

1 small onion, diced

Morton salt and McCormick pepper to taste

Instructions

Cook stew meat in skillet until browned, season to liking.

Add all ingredients into crock pot.

Mix well, salt and pepper to taste.

Cook on high in the slow cooker for 4-5 hours or so, checking for doneness in potatoes, 7-8 hours on low setting.

Rich Moist Banana Bread
Preheat oven 350* Grease 2 loaf pans
In a large bowl stir together: 1/2 c. melted butter 1 c. sugar
Add: 2 eggs 1 t. vanilla
Combine in another bowl: 1 1.2 c. all-purpose flour 1 t. baking soda 1/2 t. salt
Stir into butter mixture until smooth.
Fold in: 1/2 c. sour cream 2 banana’s sliced 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Spread evenly in prepared pan. Bake @ 350* for 60 minutes When toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean
Cool loaf pan 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
