Meat Lovers Only Pizza Rustica

When I was in college, I was one of those people that had to live in the dorm rooms for the first three years. It was okay, but there was no way to cook in there. It was awful. I went to the school cafeteria quite a bit, but that food got old quick. Thankfully, I had a job, and I could afford to go out to eat once in a while. There were lots of very affordable restaurants right close to the campus in that college town. One of my favorite places to go was an Italian restaurant.

They had the most delicious pizza rustica that I had ever had. In fact, I had never had that kind of pizza until I went there. It was so hearty and delicious, I could have eaten it every day.

Now, many, many years later, I have found a way to recreate that same recipe at home, in this yummy dish from Recipe Lion. I made it for my family and they went nuts over it. We have it at least a few times a month now, just like back in my college years.
