When my husband and I finally got some time off of work, and the kids were done with school for the year, we were heading out. In the beginning, we didn’t even know where we were going, we just knew that we had to go and get some relaxation time somewhere. It had been a long school year, and it was time to put it all behind us. We loaded up the car and started driving. That’s when I suggested we go see my Aunt Carol in the next state over. Sure, it was a long drive, but she was going to be so happy to see us.
She also had a very nice property, a big house, and tons of things for the kids to do. It was settled, that’s where we were going. I gave her a call at the next stop and she was so excited. In just about six hours, we pulled into her driveway.
We were all starving after our time on the road, and headed inside after all of our hellos. There, sitting on the kitchen counter, was the most delicious chicken casserole that I had ever seen in my life.
