You Won’t Have To Wait Around For These Chicken And Dumplings

I remember the cast iron skillet that my grandma always used to cook with. When I was younger, it seemed like it was huge. She worked miracles with that thing every day too. It seemed like each and every time I went over there, she had it on the stove full of some sort of food. Whatever came out of it was always incredible too. I loved eating at their house. It was such a different experience than eating at home. Mom’s cooking was always good, but Grandma’s was incredible! Must have been the years of experience.

She made the most delicious chicken and dumplings in her skillet, and I could never figure out how. Whenever I saw a recipe for them, it was always done in the slow cooker. I found one finally on Spend With Pennies that reminded me of the one from back in the day.

It came out tasting great the very first time I made it. I almost couldn’t believe it. I never get anything right on the first try. I did with this one though.
