This Isn’t Your Traditional Pie… But You’re Going To Love It!

My daughter was getting ready to go off to college. It was a bittersweet time for me. She was so mature, very smart, and a genuinely good kid. I was proud, but sad to know that she would soon be off on her own. Like the good and responsible child that she is, she asked me to help her learn a few different things that she would affordably be able to make at her new apartment. I showed her some of my classics, but I wanted to do something fun too. Something that we would both remember.

I did plenty of research and found a few recipes that we could try out, but one stuck out more than the rest. It was a cheeseburger pie that I saw on Spend With Pennies, and it had bacon in it! We both love bacon. Let’s be honest though, who doesn’t?

We made this on a slow Saturday afternoon together and it not only was easy, it was really a lot of fun. Sitting down to eat our creation was very rewarding. The conversation went on for hours and hours after we were done. It’s a night I will never forget.
