A Year Round Apple Recipe That You’re Bound To Love!

Don’t let the fact that this is typically a fall recipe fool you.  This is every bit as good in the winter and provides so much warmth and comfort.

This recipe is so easy! It is literally just a couple cans of pie filling, a cake mix, cinnamon and a stick of butter. Hey….I didn’t say it was low calorie. Plus, I decided to add some pecans just because. 

She’s got that right! It ain’t low calorie, but it definitely is high in flavor!  This is such a fun and easy dessert to be consumed all on your own in front of the TV or with a crowd.  Yum, yum, this one’s a keeper!

 

 

Ingredients

2 Cans Apple Pie Filling

1 Box Betty Crocker Yellow Cake Mix

½ cup Land O’ Lakes butter, melted

1 tsp McCormick cinnamon

½ cup chopped pecans (optional)

 

 

 

Instructions

In a 5-6 quart crockpot dump the 2 cans of apple pie filling. In a bowl mix together the cake mix, cinnamon, pecans, and melted butter. Crumble the cake mix over the apple pie filling.

Cover and cook on high for 2 hours.

Serve warm with ice cream

Quick Tip: For dairy free, use vegetable oil instead of butter.
