3. Christmas Strawberries
Hey, everyone! Are you getting ready for Christmas? I know that I sure am. I’ve had my tree up before Thanksgiving. Yes, I’m one of those people. LOL I just love the holiday season. The decorations, the snow, the Christmas carols, I love it all. I especially love making fun snacks and treats like these festive holiday strawberries. Aren’t they cute? There aren’t any actual strawberries in this recipe but they sure do taste like there are! You basically use a bunch of yummy, sugary ingredients to shape into the form of a berry. Yum!
These strawberries make such a wonderful Christmas candy. I like packaging them up and putting them into decorative gift boxes to give away during the holidays. Everyone who gets them is so impressed by how realistic they look. I’ve also laid them out on a pretty plate during holiday parties. They usually go fast so you’ll want to make a lot.

Quick Tip: Make sure to wet your hands a bit when shaping these berries as they are very sticky.
I love Frankenmuth. I lived in the Detroit area from the age of 20 to 50 so it was a special treat to drive several hours for dinner. There were two restaurants across the street from each other and everyone had a favorite, Bavarian Inn or Zenhnder’s. My ex and his family only ate at Zehnder’s, which I did not consider worth the drive. THEN I discovered the Bavarian Inn and was amazed at how deliciously different the food was from Zehnder’s. While I was never a fan of the stollen I was definitely a fan of the chicken dinner and would make the trip every Spring, Summer and Fall. Not just for the food but for the shopping, as well. This was long before the Outlet Mall opened so the only shopping was in Frankenmuth and the Christmas Store and the Clock Shop were always a delight. Thanks for the Memory!
You are so welcome! It’s always nice to hear about “home” 🙂
I am looking for a recipe for using a white cake mix and peppermint flavored candy pieces..I saw it on a quick ad..but didn’t find it again.
