Enjoy These 7 Holiday Treats This Christmas Season!

1. Cornflake Christmas Wreaths

Are you totally into the holiday season like I am? Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday. I love the everything about it from gift giving to making great food to celebrating the birth of our Lord. I enjoy making fun desserts with ym kids such as these edible wreaths. They are super easy to make and they look brilliant with their bright colors of red and green. I made these wreaths last year and also fashioned one large one for my holiday dessert table. Everyone was super impressed.

Surprisingly, these holiday cornflake wreaths are super easy to make. Your kids will be glad to help you with these. Even my big kids enjoyed making these and my teens weren’t “too cool” to help mom with the holiday baking and dessert making. Imagine that! Maybe these wreaths put them in the holiday spirit 🙂 I know you and your family will enjoy these cornflake wreaths as much as mine do.

Quick Tip: TO MAKE ONE LARGE WREATH: Press warm cereal mixture in 5 1/2-cup ring mold coated with cooking spray or shape in ring on serving plate. Remove from mold and dot with red candies. Slice to serve.

I love Frankenmuth. I lived in the Detroit area from the age of 20 to 50 so it was a special treat to drive several hours for dinner. There were two restaurants across the street from each other and everyone had a favorite, Bavarian Inn or Zenhnder’s. My ex and his family only ate at Zehnder’s, which I did not consider worth the drive. THEN I discovered the Bavarian Inn and was amazed at how deliciously different the food was from Zehnder’s. While I was never a fan of the stollen I was definitely a fan of the chicken dinner and would make the trip every Spring, Summer and Fall. Not just for the food but for the shopping, as well. This was long before the Outlet Mall opened so the only shopping was in Frankenmuth and the Christmas Store and the Clock Shop were always a delight. Thanks for the Memory!

I am looking for a recipe for using a white cake mix and peppermint flavored candy pieces..I saw it on a quick ad..but didn’t find it again.
