7. Holiday Pavlova
Have you ever had pavlova before? I never did until my neighbor Sally made me this wonderful recipe. I’m telling you what, I’ve never had a dessert so light, airy, and fluffy before. talk about a little piece of heaven! This pavlova is so yummy and the topping is even better. I love the pomegranates in this recipe as they give the dessert a real holiday spirit look. This Christmas pavlova is perfect for your holiday table or for taking to a Christmas party. It will really impress your friends and family.
There is a knack to making pavlova but i assure you that this recipe is not overly difficult. In fact, you may even want to ask your kids to help you whip up this yummy holiday dessert. It’s always fun incorporating the kids into baking as it teaches them patience and good character. Shoot, you might even be able to swing a math lesson throughout the whole deal. We were once a homeschooling family and I would quite often use cooking as a form of teaching. This pavlova would have made the perfect teaching tool. Go ahead and try it on your young ones. Enjoy!

Quick Tip: You may substitute the pomegranate berries for any other berry of your choosing.
I love Frankenmuth. I lived in the Detroit area from the age of 20 to 50 so it was a special treat to drive several hours for dinner. There were two restaurants across the street from each other and everyone had a favorite, Bavarian Inn or Zenhnder’s. My ex and his family only ate at Zehnder’s, which I did not consider worth the drive. THEN I discovered the Bavarian Inn and was amazed at how deliciously different the food was from Zehnder’s. While I was never a fan of the stollen I was definitely a fan of the chicken dinner and would make the trip every Spring, Summer and Fall. Not just for the food but for the shopping, as well. This was long before the Outlet Mall opened so the only shopping was in Frankenmuth and the Christmas Store and the Clock Shop were always a delight. Thanks for the Memory!
You are so welcome! It’s always nice to hear about “home” 🙂
I am looking for a recipe for using a white cake mix and peppermint flavored candy pieces..I saw it on a quick ad..but didn’t find it again.
