I live in a really small town. I love my little town too! We have a lot of cute festivities that go on throughout the year. My favorite event happens the day after Thanksgiving. The town has their Christmas lighting and Santa comes to town! This is such a special time for the kids. They get so excited to so all of the lights and of course when the big guy comes to town! They love seeing Santa.
Well, my kids are fairly grown up at this point, but we all still go to enjoy the festivities as a family. We all have a wonderful time seeing all of the people that we know and getting our chit chat on! We love this time of year!
There is also another reason why we love this event. The town provides free hot cocoa and fireside beef stew! This isn’t just any beef stew. This beef stew has squash in it and is absolutely delicious! I knew that I would have to make this beef stew myself. There is no way that I could only have it one time a year. So, every once and a while I will make it for my children and they instantly feel nostalgic. It’s actually kind of cute. I love how foods can make you remember such a great time.
