How To Wow Your Friends With A Strawberry Banana Salad Perfect For Summer

I have a terrible time trying to get my kids to eat any sort of vegetable, but I want to make sure that they get all of their required nutrients. Fruits I have a much better time with. Anytime I set out just about any kind of fruit it gets gobbled right up. When I want to make this salad, I have to make sure to tell them that I am doing just that or they will have the strawberries and bananas gone before I even have a chance to get to them. They love this salad though so they will wait.

Check out what they are saying about this recipe over at Spend With Pennies:

“A dessert salad is something that you can’t go wrong with when you are feeding a crowd of hungry guests!”

You may want to double up on these ingredients especially if there are a lot of little ones around… they love the stuff!

3 ripe bananas

1/2 lemon , juiced

1/3 cup domino Domino sugar

1 can (14oz) Dole crushed pineapple drained

1 1/2 cups diced strawberries

1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries

1 cup plain Dannon Greek yogurt

1 tub whipped topping (8 oz)

Place bananas in a large bowl and mash. Stir in juice from 1/2 of a lemon.

Add sugar, pineapple and Greek yogurt. Stir until smooth. Stir in cherries and strawberries.

Fold in whipped topping. Refrigerate until serving.

Quick Tip: Pineapple, blackberries, and raspberries are good in here as well.
