Something With Two Of Everybody’s Favorite Ingredients: Cheese & Bacon Dip

I often struggle when I am asked to bring something to a potluck dinner. There are always so many salads and desserts, I don’t want to bring too many of the same thing. Sure, a nice Italian spaghetti salad is always good, but how many of those does one party really need? I get so frustrated when I spend time making a nice recipe only to have to pack the entire thing up and bring it back home with me. The last time I was going somewhere, I started turning my gears to think of what I could do that was different.

That’s when I thought of a dip. Not many people show up with dips, other than the classic veggie or chip variety. I found this recipe on My Recipes for a bacon and cheese dip and decided to give it a try. It went together really easily, and the finished product smelled delicious.

I wasn’t sure how a cold bacon dip would go over at first, but the bowl I took was completely gone when I went to retrieve it. I know what I’m taking with me from now on!

Quick Tip: Pita and tortilla chips go well with this dip.
