I am an appetizer girl. When I go out to eat, a lot of the times, I will just get a salad and then a couple of things off the appetizer menu. There are so many hidden treasures there that get lost among the other main entrees. I have learned my lesson though. They are often just as good, if not better, plenty filling, and usually a little bit cheaper. When I am eating at home, I get to decide which appetizers I want to make and when. Often, I do my experimenting on the weekends when I have a little extra time.
When I saw this recipe on Spend With Pennies for oven-baked bacon and cheese bites, I knew it was going to my new project. I added the ingredients to my grocery cart and made them up the following Saturday. Man oh man! They were better than any appetizer I had ever made before.
When the kids and husband came in from doing whatever they had going on outside, these were gone in a matter of seconds. All they kept asking was if I could make some more. Good thing I bought extras!
