How To Make The Thick And Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies Everyone Loves

My Grandma had the best recipe for chocolate chip cookies that I have ever tasted. I tried for years and years to duplicate her recipe, but it never worked the way that I had hoped. I even tried to get her to walk me through it on the phone, but I just didn’t have the magic touch. The last time I went to visit her, I took all the ingredients so that she could show me exactly what she did. The step I was missing was the sifting of the flour. I never realized how important it was before. Her recipe is just like this one from Group Recipes.

When the cookies came out of the oven, I knew they were going to be the ones that I had been trying to make for so long. Of course, they were. I think I sat and ate a half dozen while we were cooking up the batch. I just love the chewiness and thickness of the yummy treat.

I took a nice sized container home to my husband, because Grandma doesn’t eat a whole lot of cookies these days, and he couldn’t believe it. “Why don’t you make them like this all the time?” I will now!

Quick Tip: Don’t follow the recipe on your chocolate chips. You won’t get the same results.
