This Isn’t Your Grandma’s Pot Roast… It’s Way Better!

When I got a new crock pot for Christmas a few years, I really started taking interest in what I could put in it. I never really cared about slow cooker meals before, because I didn’t have one. My Mom thought I needed one so she got me one for a gift. I told her that she had to share all of her recipes with me now. The first one that she handed over, was her recipe for a balsamic pot roast. It was the one that she used to make for me and my siblings when we still lived at home, so many years ago.

I always got really excited about pot roast. I think it was the combination of yummy mashed potatoes, steamed veggies, and super tender meat that was undeniable. I would always request it when Mom asked me what I wanted for dinner. If it was my turn to pick, that was my choice.

When I found this recipe on Little B Cooks, it was like I took a step back in time. I just had to try it and see if it was the same as my Mom’s. It was pretty darn close. The flavor was a tad bit different, but it was still amazing. I think I might like this one a little bit more even!
