I’m not going to try and tell any whoppers here, I’m not much of a cook. I’m not sure where my daughter picked up the talent for it, because it certainly wasn’t me. She has been wanting to be in the kitchen since she was about five years old. We have always encouraged her, but I could never be much help. Heck, I think by that age she already knew more than what I did! She isn’t like those other kids watching videos and playing games on her computer, she’s looking for new recipes.
She has continued to amaze me with the dishes that she can whip up. There is never a shortage of food at our house. She makes out her shopping lists and goes with me and generally she makes at least a couple of meals a week. The last one was these cheesy broccoli stuffed shells from Campbell’s.
Man oh man. I think it was one of the most wonderful things I have ever put in my mouth. She really nailed this one. I was in the kitchen with her this time doing the assembly of the shells under her instruction, but that’s all I did. She took care of the rest.
