Way back in the day, I mean way back, I used to go and spend Spring Break with my grandparents. I’m an only child, and I have a cousin that is also an only child. So, together we would go and spend the week so that we could have some bonding and entertainment from each other. I’m sure our parents just loved Spring Break! Haha. Anyways, we always had a good time. I would miss my friends at times, but there was so much to do at Grandma and Grandpa’s, we pretty much just stayed busy.
They would always have us go and check he fields for rhubarb. The first time, it was pretty difficult, because we didn’t know what exactly we were looking for. After we brought it home, Grams made up the most amazing dessert though. It was just like this recipe that I found on Half Baked Harvest.
After we tried that, there was no stopping us when it came to our rhubarb hunts. Now we knew what was coming at the end of that and we wanted more. I didn’t mind going to to the grandparent’s for Spring Break so much after that. At least I knew we would be eating superb rhubarb dessert!
