The Transformation Of The Candy Bar Has Never Been This Charming!

My childhood friends and I have gone a long way. We started being all chummy when we were kids because our mothers were friends. It was a classic story that has an amazing ending. Even up to now, we’re still in contact, and we’ve never lost it. In fact, I have two sets of really close friends. The first one is composed of my college friends whom I met at the university; the second set is the one where all of my childhood friends are.

I have a pact with my second set of friends. We promised each other before that when we finally have our own families, we’ll be part of each other’s families. No one had broken that promise because we all fulfilled it.

One of the amazing things included in that childhood pact was about food (of course!). My friends and I promised that if we can, we will be the ones to cook for each other’s children parties. And since most of us were free the same time, we’ve done a few parties on our own.

Just recently, Olivia’s daughter turned five, and she asked us if we can help her by baking desserts for a small group of people. My contribution was these little candy bar pies that have been a hit just as much as the others! They’re quite simple to make, but they also need a bit of your effort.

The end result is so worth it. Just ask the parents and kids who enjoyed these little beauties at the party!

Quick Tip: These pies have the best taste and texture when served at room temperature–do not eat them cold.
