When I think of classic dessert pies, the first one that comes to mind is an apple pie. Let’s all admit it. It’s probably the most classic of all dessert pies. You can’t go wrong with an apple pie, most especially if it’s a classic apple pie recipe from your family. My grandmother used to have her own apple pie recipe. She passed it down to my aunts and uncles. My mother passed it down to me. Recipes passed on from one generation to another are the recipes that usually last through the years. In my family’s case, these recipes are mostly the classic ones.
This apple pie recipe from Everything Pies reminds me of the classic recipes that my family has. My family has a lot of pie recipes, but apple pie is probably one of the most popular. Everyone in the family knows how to make an apple pie. The first pie that I ever made for my husband was an apple pie. And we were just friends back then. The two of us and a couple of friends visited my hometown and I was the one assigned to make the dessert. This is the dessert I made for them. My husband-then-friend loved it! Up to now, he still asks me to make it every time he is craving for something sweet and fruity. And don’t get me started on my sons! They can probably eat this all day if I just allow them!
