Grandma’s Caramel Flan That Was So Heavenly It Was Declared A Saint!

I grew up eating a lot of flans. My mother always made flans for occasions. First of all, they’re very easy to make and at the same time require only very few ingredients that you might actually find in your cupboards and fridge. My most favorite flan recipe of my mother was what she called, dulce de leche flan. It’s so sinful that I was able to finish a few ramekins when I was a kid. And in one seating! They taste really good as dessert and it’s something that I will never forget from my childhood. My Mom still makes them up to now and she still makes the best ones. Mine couldn’t even compare even though I already asked the recipe from her.

Grandma has a different version of flan. Hers was called caramel flan. And while caramel flans aren’t really something new, she put something in hers that always gave her flans that kick that made it taste differently. Grandma’s caramel flan truly melts in the mouth. It tasted just right. It’s not too sweet, but rather it’s both sweet and creamy. One taste and you will find yourself floating in flan clouds. Grandpa often told us it’s a dessert made in heaven! Yes, hers was definitely different than most caramel flans. I found a similar recipe that tasted just as heavenly as hers. You might want to check it out on the next page.
