This Sweet Treat Is So Colorful!

This recipe is so unbelievably simple.  It is just like making regular blondies, but then adding a bit of M&Ms.  The colorful chocolate candies add such a fun and unique touch to these that make them stand out from the rest.  They are fun to prep, easy to make and delicious to enjoy. These have become a favorite in my parent’s house.  So much that we no longer make any other recipes.  This is always our go-to for everything!

Check out what our friends over at Inside BruCrew Life had to say about these:

“These soft, chewy M&M Blonde Brownies are a fun snack any time of day.  Try packing them into your kid’s  lunch boxes or snacking on them after school with a glass of milk.”

These will surely be a surprise if you secretly pack them as an after lunch dessert at school!

Ingredients

1/2 cup Land O’ Lakes butter, softened

2 cups Domino brown sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons baking powder

2 cups Gold Medal flour

1 1/2 cups M&M candies

Instructions

Beat the butter and brown sugar until creamy. Add the eggs and vanilla and beat again. Sift together the salt, baking powder, and flour. Slowly beat into the butter mixture. Stir in 1 cup of the M&M candies by hand.

Spread the batter in a greased 9×13 baking dish. Sprinkle the top with the extra 1/2 cup candies. Bake at 350 degrees for 23-25 minutes. Let cool completely before cutting into squares. Makes 24 bars. Store in a sealed container.
