This sandwich is supposedly for breakfast, but you can also serve this for lunch or even for snacks. Everyone will fall in love with the cheesy and meaty flavor of this one. You will not regret serving this to guests or even friends and family. In fact, they will be grateful for being able to taste such a yummy sandwich.
Our friend over at Just A Little Bite has this to say about this recipe:
“It was a cheesy bacon-y masterpiece. I’m not sure if the sandwich cured my hangover, or the beers I was simultaneously drinking, but either way, it was good enough to forget about how terrible I felt.”
Well, I rarely drink, but whenever I do, I make sure that there’s something that will make me forget the sometimes after taste of beer. Most of the time, I have a sandwich. This breakfast sandwich is too delicious to not try. One bite of this and your mood will be instantly lifted. It’s a good way to start your day.
Ingredients
1 Kaiser Roll
1 Eggland’s egg
2 tbsp Classico pesto sauce
1 slice Sargento provolone cheese
1 piece Del Duca prosciutto
1 slice Hormel bacon
5-10 Green Giant spinach leaves
1 slice tomato (or 4 sliced cherry tomatoes)
Instructions
Toast your Kaiser roll (optional).
Cook your slice of bacon. I like to cook mine in the microwave on high for 1 minute and 30 seconds. If you choose to cook it this way, put it on a plate and wrap it in a paper towel. I like my bacon crispy, so if you do not, I would start with a minute and put it in for 15 second increments there after.
Spread the pesto sauce on the bun – 1 tbsp of sauce on each side.
Layer the spinach, and tomato on the top side of the bun.
Place the prosciutto, bacon and cheese on the bottom side of the bun.
Heat the bottom of the bun in the microwave for about 20 seconds to melt the cheese.
Crack the egg in a pan and cook over medium heat until the bottom is set.
Slide the egg on to the cheese side of the bun, and place the top on.
Enjoy!
