This Lovely Shepherd’s Pie Says Hi!

As a little kid, our concept of things was a bit biased. In my case, my concept of pie was a bit blinded. Anything on a pie plate that’s covered with another dough—that’s what pie was for me. If it wasn’t covered with dough on top, then that’s not a pie; it’s a stew. It’s because of this childhood belief that I was told by an aunt that I had caused an embarrassing moment for my parents in their favorite restaurant once; just because I was throwing a tantrum over a Shepherd’s Pie that “didn’t look like a pie”.

Now if you ask me, I definitely won’t disagree that a Shepherd’s Pie is a pie. It’s just that it’s a little bit more extraordinary than the usual pies because it uses something else as its crust—yes! Mashed potatoes!

Quick Tip: Extra cheese on top is not a bad idea.

Do you have any recipes for whole (sliced in half) with a mixture of cheeses.
Baked in oven. Whole halves -not chopped up?
