In the family, I was the only one who loved beans. I used to open a can of pork and beans and just eat it straight from the can. When I feel like it, I get a loaf of bread and eat the beans with it. Mom never approved of canned food. She always said it wasn’t healthy. So for my sake, my mom came up with a bean recipe just for me. It wasn’t as thorough as the usual recipes (it only had three or four ingredients), but I appreciated it nevertheless because it tasted good.
She used kidney beans, tomato sauce, sugar, small cuts of sausages, and ground beef. It tasted a bit like spaghetti sauce, but with a different texture. It became my dinner for three days; at least it lasted that long. This recipe that I found has a different flavor to it, but it tastes so good that I have no complains.
