Pull Up A Chair And Enjoy Some Of Granny’s Sausage And Cheese Grits Casserole

As a northerner, we don’t really eat grits all that much. In fact, I had never even heard of  “a grit” until I was about 20 years old. I had taken a trip to Georgia to see my husband who had just graduated from basic training.

We made many stops along the way as I took a bus and one of these stops was at a Waffle House. I asked the man behind the counter what a grit was and he said, “Honey, ain’t no such thang as just a grit.” LOL So, I got schooled while I was done there, too.

Anyway, I ordered the cheese grits and they tasted marvelous, This casserole has me all excited because it looks so ding dang good! I can hardly wait to make it.
