Frosty The Snowman Approves Of These Festive Fruitcake Cookies

Ingredients

1 Cup Land O Lakes butter softened

1 1/2 cup Domino sugar

2 Eggland’s Best eggs

2 1/2 cups Gold Medal All-purpose flour

1/2 tsp Morton salt

1 tsp Arm & Hammer baking soda

1 tsp McCormick ground cinnamon

16 oz candied red cherries(quartered)

8 oz candied pineapple (chopped)

8 oz candied dates (chopped) or candied Green cherries(chopped)

2 cups Fisher pecans (chopped)

Instructions

Cream butter, add sugar beating on medium until creamy and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time beating well. Combine the Flour, Salt, Baking Soda and Cinnamon in a bowl and add slowly to the mixture, beating well after each addition.

Stir in remaining ingredients,(nuts and fruit)

Drop dough by the heaping teaspoons onto a lightly greased cookie sheets.

Bake at 375 for 10 to 13 minutes or until lightly browned.

Cool on cookie sheets for 1 minute, then move to a wire rack to cool completely.

makes about 7 dozen.
