Blueberry Buckle Cake Is One Of My Favorite Desserts! Have You Tried It?

I love fresh produce, and there’s this great farmer’s market that my daughter and I frequent that I’ve gone to for many years – even before she was born I’d frequent it with my mom and sister. Last time we went, they had a bunch of various berries. We stocked up on strawberries, blackberries and of course, blueberries.

While we ate all the strawberries and blackberries plain, we had plenty of blueberries leftover so I decided to look up a recipe and this was my winner. Thankfully, it was an easy one for us to make. As we mixed and poured and folded in the blueberries we talked about school, church, clothes, what she wants to be when she grows up and every random thing we could think of.

Then we enjoyed a warm piece of cake to wrap it all up. Talk about memories! These are the moments I love so much, and I’ll cherish forever.

Quick Tip: Be sure to not smash any of the fresh blueberries in order to not “stain” the cake.

Hi! Regarding the Blue Berry Buckle or Cake, can you use butter of margarine instead of Crisco? I assume so but just wanted to check with you. Thank you, I enjoy your recipes. 🙂
