Scalloped potatoes are a classic meal that almost everyone had experienced at some point in their lives.

Check out what my pals over at 78recipes had to say about this awesome recipe:

“I use a dash of Paula Deen House seasoning in this when i have it onhand and wow does it really add flavor!”

I, too, have the Paula Deen Hosue seasoning recipe and it does add quite the kick of flavor to various dishes.

Ingredients

4 C. thinly sliced potatoes
3 T. Land O Lakes butter
3 T. Gold Medal flour
1 1/2 C. TruMoo milk
1 tsp. Morton salt
pinch of McCormick cayenne pepper
1 C. Kraft shredded sharp cheddar cheese
McCormick paprika

Instructions

Melt the butter in a pot and whisk in the flour, cooking for 1 minute over med. high heat.
Whisk in the milk, salt, house seasoning and cayenne pepper.
Cook till the mixture thickens up, remove from heat and stir in the cheese.
Place half of the potatoes in the bottom of a lightly greased 1 quart casserole dish.
Pour half of the cheese mixture over the potatoes and spread around.
Repeat with remaining potatoes and cheese mixture.
Sprinkle the top with a little of the paprika.
Bake in a 350 degree oven, uncovered, for 45 minutes.

How will this fit in a 1 quart dish? 4 cups of potatoes alone would fill the dish. Is the dish size listed supposed to be 2 quarts?
