A Meatloaf Recipe So Good, You Might Just Do A Back Flip Off The Neighbor’s Roof To Get It!

I made this meatloaf the other day for my family. My husband knew there was something different about the loaf, but he just couldn’t put his finger on it. When I finally told him it was the wonderful combination of the apple cider vinegar and brown sugar in the sauce, he said, “I have no idea what you’re talking about but you can definitely make this recipe again!”

Check out what my friends over at Food.com had to say about this awesome recipe:

Best Meatloaf I have ever made. Absolutely rave reviews. I cant imagine anyone saying they did not like it! Oh well, to each his own favourites I guess! For me, this one has been a keeper ever since I discovered it here months ago. Rather than prepare the meatloaf in a family size loaf pan I make 4 or 5 small ones in small glass baking dishes and freeze them and then just pop in oven or micro to reheat when needed. I have also froze the sauce in ice cube trays and then have extra sauce when I pull out one of the little loafs. The frozen sauce melts almost immediately over the hot loaf. Love it.

Those were some great tips, I will definitely give them a try the next time!

A loaf of bread usually has ‘2 heels’, one at each end of the loaf. It would be better to crumble & use the heels for the ‘filler’in the meatloaf, since they are not as ‘gooey’ as a regular slice of bread.

Something is missing. As I would like to know that as well. I really can’t say the meatloaf recipe sounds good anyhow. Just another average recipe. Mine is much tastier sounding than this one is.

I did not see the sauce ingredients listed with the Meatloaf Recipe , so I visited Food.com to find them, and am adding them here.

Is this the whole recipe?? What are the sauce ingredients, milk and ketchup??Meatloaf recipe seems pretty basic, nothing special! If all that milk goes into the meatloaf, seems like it would be kinda soupy!

make it to your personal taste. Start with cider vinegar and brown sugar, add some ketchup. keep tasting until it tastes sweet (if you like it sweet). I also add garlic powder and onion powder.

I am not one for measuring. haha.

My mother in law made the best meatloaf, she added a can of alphabet soup and a cup of whole milkto her ingredients. Makes for very tender meatloaf. She glazed it with the usual ketchup, mustard brown sugar topping

Sauce (had to go to Food.com) to find it)

I just re-read the meatloaf recipe and saw that you put the sauce over the meatloaf before baking it. I got caught up looking for the sauce recipe. No worry

Mix your meat 1/2 ground chuck and half pork sausage like Owens or Jimmy Dean…improve taste of meat loaf alot..when grease cooks out of loaf..remove from oven and pour off grease…then top with catsup and continue cooking…been making this for years

This is very similar to the meatloaf I have been making for years. I do add some prepared mustard, Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder to the sauce. I put the sauce on the meatloaf the last 15 minutes of the baking time.
