All That’s Missing is Your Fortune – But You’ll be Fortunate to Make This Sweet and Sour Favorite in Your Slow Cooker

My go to Chinese dish is sweet and sour chicken, actually it is for the whole family. Every time I’ve attempted it at home it’s missing something. I end up wishing I’d gone to the little takeout place every time. I hadn’t found a decent recipe that came close to theirs until now, and I’m so glad because I prefer home-cooked every time. This recipe was approved by even the pickiest of eaters at my house, so it’s definitely a keeper!

You could easily substitute boneless pork if you prefer pork over chicken; and though the recipe calls for thighs I actually used chicken breast and it was just as good. We just prefer white meat in our household. All I can say is finally someone got the right combination of ingredients!

Quick Tip: Grate the fresh ginger with a micro-plane grater – it’s much easier. Otherwise, the produce section carries grated fresh ginger sometimes.
