Dessert In A Crock Pot? Yes, Please!

Check out what my friends at Little House Living had to say about this chocolately recipe:

“You just did 3 of my very favorites ALL in one shot! molten lava is my alltime fav (hard to get a good recipe for it too!) AND the crockpot (l-o-v-e mine!) AND a make ahead, keep it in the jar for extra ease?? this post ROCKS!! Thanks!”

My family gobbles this up!  We love it to top off our meal, and I know your family will love it too.

Ingredients

1 c. + 3/4 c. Domino sugar
1 c. Gold Medal flour
3 T + 3T Hershey’s unsweetened cocoa
2 t. Clabber Girl baking powder
1/2 t. Morton salt
1/2 c. Oak Farms milk
2 T. Land O Lakes butter
1/2 t. McCormick vanilla
1 c. Nestle Tollhouse chocolate chips
1 3/4 c. hot water

Instructions:

Mix together 1 c. sugar, flour, 3 T cocoa, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl mix together the milk, butter, and vanilla extract. Combine the dry and wet mixtures and mix well.

Spray the inside of your slow cooker with a cooking spray or oil and pour the batter mixture in the bottom. Top with the cup of chocolate chips.

Mix together the rest of the cocoa, the water, and the rest of the sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.

Pour the cocoa mixture on top of the batter and chocolate chips. Bake on high in your crock pot for approximately 2 hours. (Watch the sides for burning and turn the heat down if it gets too well done too fast.)
