The White Chocolate Bread Pudding That Made A Sleepless Night Special!

This white chocolate bread pudding made one of my sleepless nights special. I have a bad case of insomnia. It was cured, yes, but it always came back whenever I have continuous sleepless nights. A few weeks ago, I had a week wherein I had barely slept. I had a new project, but this project had a time limit that me and my team needed to finish by about two weeks. We were all stressing over it, but we knew it would be a good practice for us. It was a huge project and if we survive that, we could survive any project. Yes, my sleeping pattern was once again rattled and a week after finishing that project, I always found myself awake until wee hours of the morning. It had a bad effect because I always found myself too tired in the morning and that’s not good. I have a lot of responsibilities that I wouldn’t be able to do if I kept at it.

I didn’t want to take meds because I didn’t want to rely on too much drug. I didn’t know my husband was actually noticing my inability to sleep again. So one night, when I couldn’t sleep, he joined me in the couch and gave me something on a plate. He told me he made it the morning before and told me it might help. It was a delicious pudding that has a special sauce which he told me had rum on it. I told him it wouldn’t work, but I woke up to our bed a few hours after, well-rested and really happy. Now I wasn’t sure whether it’s because of the pudding or it’s because of the fact that my husband made it for me!

Quick Tip: Don’t substitute challah with just any type of bread.  It must be an egg-type bread, like challah. You can use egg bagels if you don’t have challah.
