The one thing I wanted at my wedding was strawberry cake. I know, I know, it sounds weird. Of all the options of things I could possibly want at my wedding, the one thing I was picky about was cake. And not the looks mind you, just the actual flavor. I had no idea what in the world I was thinking when I decided to go with strawberry flavor (I had never even tried that in my life!), but I knew I wanted to serve that at my wedding!
Well, after trying multiple cake options, I was less than impressed, so my sister and I set out to bake the perfect strawberry wedding cake. After many failed attempts, we finally found “the one.” Lo and behold, this is that one! It is easy to bake, holds up really well and you can layer as high as you want without a problem. Cream cheese icing goes great on it, and you can decorate it in any way and it really looks beautiful. My husband and I were so impressed with our cake and we even kept the top layer for our first year anniversary. Well, when we tried it, it was just as good as it was on that first day!
