Cinnamon rolls are my favorite late night treat. I know, most people enjoy them for breakfast or dessert, but I cannot help enjoying 1 (or 2 or 3) after midnight while watching a romantic movie. It is just the best feeling in the world! Now, my only problem is, cinnamon rolls are typically hard to make and also take tons of time. You have to prep the dough, let it rise, punch it, then let it rise again. Roll it out, spread the cinnamon sugar, roll it up, then cut them in slices. Then lay them out on a pan and let them rise once again. FINALLY you can put them in the oven to bake, then take them out and glaze them. Phew, I am tired just talking about it all.
But guess what?! I have found a new recipe to help make these cinnamon rolls hassle free. Where I prep them, they stay throughout baking and I drizzle the glaze while they are still in the same pot… my Crock Pot. I mean, how much better can it get than homemade cinnamon rolls in a crock pot? That just brings this comfort food up to a whole new level!
