Cheesesteak sandwiches were something that we would get when we were at the county fair. Mom never made them. For cripes sake there were 10 of us living in the house. That would have been a tad bit crazy I would say. So, we only got them once a year, but they were amazingly unforgettable. As I got older, I started to seek out that incredible flavor. I found it in a few other places, but I figured if I wanted it when the craving hit, I was going to have learn how to make it for myself.
When browsing online for good recipes involving one of my all time favorites, the instructions for making cheesesteak soup popped up on Spend with Pennies. Now we are talking! I love soup. All kinds of soup, anytime of the year. Those soups that are smothered in cheese are by far the best.
I grabbed all the ingredients for this the very same day. I wasn’t wasting any time! It was pretty easy to make and the flavor was way more than what I expected. This is going to be a new regular menu item on my list no doubt.
