Who joined the cookie butter craze? Who had a huge stock of cookie butter jars in their pantry during that time that it was so in? *looks from left to right and raises both hands*. I am guilty. Actually, my whole family is guilty. When that craze started, it was my husband who first brought a jar. He said he wanted to just see what everyone’s been going crazy about. After that one bottle, I could say we’ve been obsessed ever since.
We love cookie butter on bread, any type of bread actually. Our cookie butter jars went empty so fast I felt like I kept buying every other day. We just couldn’t help but be addicted to the creamy taste of it!
That was the time when my husband and I kept a tally sheet about who got caught in the kitchen every midnight, eating straight from the cookie jar bottle. I won of course, but just because I was sneaky.
My family also became obsessed with cookie butter desserts and I had to be in constant search for one. We were drowning in cookie butter goodness and no one was complaining. We really loved it!
This biscoff gooey butter cake just about reminds me how much we love cookie butter. When I made this for my family, we devoured half of the pan. This is truly a dessert for those who fell in love with cookie butter once upon a time.
