Use Up That Leftover Thanksgiving Turkey In This Delicious Poultry Shepherd’s Pie

I am a huge fan of shepherd’s pie.

This was a meal that my mom would often make while I was growing up. I always loved how filling and wholesome it was. It made your belly feel like it was receiving a warm hug from the inside. Mom would always make this amazing dish baked in the oven. I have learned how to make my own version of Shepherd’s Pie, but mine cooks in the Crock Pot. You see, I like to take the easy approach to this flavorful food. Don’t worry, the meal still comes out tasting amazing.

However, this particular shepherd’s pie does not cook in the slow cooker and it uses turkey instead of beef. Now, you can use up that leftover turkey from your Thanksgiving dinner instead of it going to waste. Yes! There are so many tweaks you can make to this recipe to make it your own.

For example, this particular recipe calls for green beans, but you can easily swap them out for carrots, peas, or even corn. I like to add a mixture of veggies to my Shepherd’s Pie. What will you add to yours?
