This is one of those super simple dinners that you can serve when you are having company over and it feels like you have really whipped up something fancy.
I have never had anyone walk away from my dinner table hungry after serving this. I like to serve it just as is with some tortilla chips to scoop up all the yummy salsa. A nice garden salad and rice goes well with this as well. Make it Mexican with some refried beans!
Ingredients
4 skinless chicken breasts (cleaned and trimmed)
1 16oz jar of your favorite salsa
⅓ cup water
1½ Tbsp dried parsley
½ Tbsp dried cilantro
1 tsp McCormick onion powder
1 tsp McCormick garlic powder
½ Tbsp oregano
½ tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp cumin
1 tsp chili powder
¼ tsp black pepper
Instructions:
Place the chicken in the crock pot. Add the salsa, water, and spices. Stir everything together.
Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours (or until the chicken it cooked through).
