This Pea Salad Will Be VIP At Your Next BBQ

This salad is a potluck superstar!

We had a new employee at the office that had just moved to the area from the Southern area of the country. She hadn’t moved necessarily because she wanted to, the company transferred her here, so she didn’t have much of a choice. I could tell that she missed home and all of her family and friends. I felt so bad for her. I knew that it must be awful moving to an area where you don’t know anyone. No family. No friends. Nobody. She luckily had a husband that was willing to make the move with her.

My husband and I had planned on having a few friends over that weekend, so I decided to extend the offer to her and her husband as well. She graciously accepted, even though she looked a little terrified about the idea.

I said just bring a dish to pass and come and have some fun. She showed up with this Southern pea salad that mimicked this recipe from The Seasoned Mom. She instantly became one of my new best friends.
