The Secret To Mom’s Frito Pie!

We all remember the meals that our mothers used to make us. Every mom has her own rhyme and rhythm in the kitchen that we became accustomed to and almost counted on. It was nice seeing your mom make certain things on certain days. I know that my mother would have certain nights for certain foods, which I always liked because everything she made as wonderful.

A lot of the things that I do now in the kitchen is because of what I have seen my mother do. I am aware of how I am now that my daughters join me in the kitchen more often. They enjoy learning how to cook and I love teaching them! It’s always nice to know that you are passing down certain traditions to your own children and will see them using those skills in their own kitchens.

At least once every week my mother would have casserole night. I always loved this because you never knew what sort of a casserole that woman was going to make! My favorite casserole is her chicken frito pie! This is a casserole that I loved and now my family loves it too. It is a classic meal that everyone loves to gobble right up!
