My sister was coming in to town for the first time in a few months, and I invited her and her family to come and stay with us for the weekend. Her husband had to do something for work, and I didn’t want her to get bored sitting around waiting for him at a hotel or something. That was nonsense. I wanted to spend as much time with them as possible while they were here. Thankfully, they excepted and I started prepping for their visit.
I knew we would have lunch at my house one day, because that’s when the brother-in-law was going to be at his meeting. The kids all are crazy about mac and cheese, and so are my sister and I so I knew I was going with that, just didn’t know which recipe.
When I stumbled upon this version on Group Recipes, I was really excited to make it for everyone. When we all sat down to eat, the looks of anticipation on everyone’s faces made all the work worth it. The bowls were emptied out just about as quickly as I filled them up!
