Whenever the grand kids get to come out to my house, it’s a really special treat for me. Between everything they have going on, along with what my son and his wife have to do, they don’t have much time to come and visit. When the do though, I want to make sure it’s a really fun and exciting time for them. I try to come up with new activities and things to do, so that they don’t get bored. I’m not a Grandma with all kinds of electronics and toys at my house, so we have to do what we can with what I have.
I found this recipe on All Recipes for a watermelon made out of sherbet the last time before they were planning to come out. I knew that it was going to be great. It was a fun activity, and it was going to give us something to eat when we were all done.
This was a fun dish for all of us to make, but the best part of course was eating it! It was super delicious, and all my grand babies just loved it.
