When my son recently had a field trip to the state capital, he asked if I would be a chaperone. Thankfully, that was one of the days that I wasn’t scheduled to work, so I told him that I would gladly go with him. Then, he brought me the schedule. We had to be at the school at 5am. What?!? I don’t even get up that early for work. I guess though, it’s just one day right? I thought about what we were going to eat for breakfast getting up so early.
The idea came to mind to run through the drive-thru, but if something happened that made us late we wouldn’t be able to go on the bus. Instead, I decided to make something that we could just take with us, and I whipped together these donut muffins from Group Recipes.
They are so easy to make and transport, I knew it was going to be just what we needed. I wasn’t hungry at 5am, but about an hour or so later when that hunger pain hit, I popped a couple of these and was good to go!
