When we have a relaxing day or afternoon at home, I always enlist the kids’ help in making these. It’s a pretty fun activity, and they actually don’t complain about making them. It seems like any time I have to ask for help all I hear are grunts and groans from the other room. I think they know that whenever we are making these, there is a sweet reward coming at the end… and who doesn’t want to work for that?
Check out what they are saying about this recipe over at Amish 365:
“…a sweet, from-scratch dessert that is a hit with kids when they come home from school. And they are surprisingly easy to make, so the kids can help make them and eat them.”
My kids can’t get enough of these… I always make at least a double batch.
