Let’s take a trip to Italy and eat some chicken florentine! Sound good? I would say so. I actually have visited Italy and it’s beautiful country! So rich in culture that I could go on and on about how much I loved my trip. I went with my hubby for our 25th anniversary and it was everything I thought it would be. There is so much history to see and experience that you could stay there for weeks to see everything!
One of the things that I loved the most about Italy was the food. Oh my goodness, the food! I think that I gained 10 pounds while I was in Italy. The food was wonderful! Everything that I ate was so delicious. I don’t think that I ate one thing that I didn’t like. The people that worked at the restaurants were so helpful when it came to pick something to eat. I truly felt so welcome in that country that I cannot wait to go back!
My favorite dish that I had there was chicken florentine. It was called something else, but I can’t quite remember what. I was expressing to the waitress how much I loved the dish that I was eating and she happily told me that I would know the dish as chicken florentine. I knew that I had to make that when I got back home, which is exactly what I did. My version of this dish came int he form of a casserole! My whole family loved it!
