My daughter was having a birthday, and she wanted to take a special treat to school. Of course, I had no idea what to make. I am not someone that can easily walk into the kitchen and stroll out with the perfect birthday snack. I had to start brainstorming. I know that I can make Rice Krispie treats, those are easy. She didn’t want those though. She thought it was going to be too boring for her spectacular birthday. Girls I tell ya. They want it all.
I thought about what I could do to brighten up the treat, and looked in my pantry. There was a box of Frankenberry cereal sitting in there, all bright pink and stuff, and I thought how perfect for a princess. I just whipped them together pretty much the same way as I would any cereal bar.
These were beyond her expectations. She was so excited about the bright colors, she couldn’t wait to go to school that day. Cravings of a Lunatic has a similar recipe to what I used. You can find that on the next page. Just trust me though, these are perfect for your kids.
