The only time that I had ever eaten perogies was when I was in my early 20s. They were on sale at the local supermarket for a really cheap price, so I figured I would give them a shot. I didn’t have a lot of money then, so anything that I could get that didn’t empty out my wallet was something I was going to try. Now, these were the frozen pre-made perogies, just so you have the whole story. I’m going to tell you, that was why it was the only time that I ate those things. They were not good at all. I don’t know if it was the brand, or if they were past their expiration date or what, but they were awful.
I wasn’t really thrilled with the name of this recipe from The Recipe Rebel, until I started going over the ingredients and instructions. I figured I would give them one more shot. After all, homemade is always better, right? That was true for these little puppies.
I put them together really easily, and the flavor was amazing. We gobbled all of these right down. My husband was scratching his head wondering why I never made them before. I had to tell him the story though and then he understood. He was happy I was willing to give them another chance!
