When my family was getting together for a nice little social gathering, just to be together for a day, we all had to bring something to pass. I had no clue what I was going to do. It wasn’t a holiday, there was nothing special happening, not a birthday, just because. I was all for it. It seemed like the only time we got to see each other it was always so stressful. This was a random Saturday afternoon. Relaxing, no pressure, and a lot of fun. I figured I would do a green bean casserole, because that’s my favorite dish.
I like the flavor, and it’s so easy to make, yet it looks kinda fancy. I found a recipe for green bean and corn casserole on Julie’s Eats & Treats and thought, hmmm, that sounds just about right. Not quite green bean casserole which is more for Thanksgiving and other holidays, but still super yummy.
The recipe was almost just as easy as the regular casserole, but there were obviously a few more ingredients. I couldn’t wait to see how the group was going to react.
